Current Fiber and Fabric Projects

Please bear with me as I try to figure out this blogging software.  I want to use this as a place to talk about my current projects and post pictures and progress updates.

Currently, I have four projecs going:

1- A blue charm "almost cathedral windows" quilt as you go.  I’m binding in the hexagons as I make them.  279 are needed.  about 40 are done.  I’m starting to do the border pieces today, and sine the border is red and the inside is blue, the blue charm fabrics are getting priority to be in the border and the red charm fabrics are getting priority to be in the body.

2- A pair of mittens.  I have to do the thumb on the first one and then start the second.

3- A rail fences baby quilt.  Since my iron came today I can finish the quilt top tonight and take it to my quilting class at the end of February.

4- A fabric knitting purse.  The knitting is done but I totally messed up the lining so I ordered about a yard of black fabric to try again.  Once that comes, I can work on it.  I ordered the urban backpacker kit from the same company, but I won’t go beyond knitting that until I’m sure of how to do the lining correctly.
