Can I skip to next week?
August 1st, 2007
This is the kind of week that kicks a girl in the behind.
First, I have way too much to do this week. This week’s Fireside is put to bed. It’ll go up on Friday. Knitting Step by Step needs to be filmed tonight and tomorrow I need to do the video editing on that and tape the WritingCast. On top of that I want to keep up my page count goal for Demon Child (so far so good, but no promises on today) and finish the last round of edits on The Book of Overthrowing Sebau (again, so far so good and no promises for today).
I suppose I could handle that. It’s not that much busier than last week, really. The only addition is the editing. It’s just that I received three rejection letters this week and I’m feeling a little beat up. See, that’s part of the problem. You need to have a lot of stuff out there to sell. You need to do the work. But the more stuff that’s out there, the more that has a chance of coming back rejected.
So I’m feeling a tad trashed at the moment. On the plus side, the plot for Fireside is starting to develop in my head. Now I need to see if I can assemble my team of past demons, plus recruit two more. I’m hoping to get for Sal for the first one and I need someone willing to record two back to back episodes for the second.
