She Liked The Socks
December 26th, 2006
Remember when I was worried that Patty wasn’t going to like the socks I made for her? Well she thought they were cute enough when she saw them but when she found out they were hand knit she was all over them. She felt the fabric, said it was her favorite color and that she was impressed with all the work that went into them. She seemed pleased.
Mary Ann didn’t seem impressed with the mittens/hat that I made for her, but she was worried about leaving her new puppy alone for so many hours so I could hardly fault her or take it personally. John’s mom liked her scarf.
Sharron…okay my holiday wish to each and every knitter or crochetter out there is that you should all have a Sharron of your very own. Sharrons go in the list with tape measures, tapestry needles, sissors, and stitch markers–not quite yarn and needles but every knitter needs at least one. She pet her scarf, tried it on, went on and on and on about how warm it was and how big it was and how she wasn’t going to be cold when she was wearing it and how beautiful it was. Then she pulled out her socks and went nuts for them too. She wore them the next day. It was 60+ degrees out and she wanted to wear her scarf. Trust me, once you find your Sharron you’ll never want for someone to knit for. This is the person you can safely knit that sweater for under any circumstance.
I wasn’t there to see the army of Hogwarts scarves opened but I’m told they went over well and Jason was seen wearing his hat.
