Another writing podcast had an example of carrying a concealed weapon. The author checked with the local police, and it was perfectly legal for her character to carry the gun in question in the way she described. Her test readers insisted she would need extra paperwork that should at least be mentioned. They would not believe the truth. So, in that case the author had to say something that was not true in order for the audience to believe her.

Somewhere on NASA’s NEO site the webmaster (an astronomer) admits that he enjoys movies about asteroids about to hit the earth, even though he knows it won’t happen for several decades.

With the new colour scheme comes the need for new (knitted) doilies, drink coasters, and valences. Maybe even curtains or a shawl / throw. (You’re the one who told me my shawl should fit the living room decor.)

Hmm…isn’t leather sometimes sewn with leather thongs? Though I’m not sure about that.
I’ve decided. Everything is really about cats. (And quaggas, sometimes).

But they’d need to sew the leather, and to do that they would need thread, which is spun.
